Summer Seminar
EPRI’s Board of Directors and Advisory Council jointly sponsor the invitation-only Summer Seminar each year to bring together leaders and experts from the electricity sector, academia, and governmental and non-governmental groups. The event is designed to explore science and technology aspects of a critical electricity sector topic.
2010 Summer Seminar… Renewing Our Future
Steve Specker discussed the challenges faced by the electric power industry as it seeks to incorporate greater amounts of variable renewable energy into its future generation mix. He also provided an updated assessment of the potential near-term and long-term response of the industry to an aggressive climate policy, reiterating the value of the “Full Portfolio.”
