Student Program
EPRI's Student Program offers undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students the opportunity to participate in some of the world's leading research and development, focused on the electricity industry.
Apply your education and skills in research, analysis and business to help shape the future of electricity at one of the world's most respected research institutes. EPRI provides a collaborative work environment with industry and technology leaders. We bring together multi-discipline teams with diverse backgrounds in academia, industry, and research organizations.
EPRI's Student Program offers a flexible schedule, which may be full-time for a few months, or part-time while you are going to school.

Are You a Leader and a Problem Solver?
Candidates for EPRI's Student Program are:
- Pursuing a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree with relevant course work in science, engineering and/or business;
- Maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better;
- Demonstrating leadership and technical aptitude through academic, extracurricular, employment or internship experience.
EPRI is working to solve problems and provide technological leadership for the electricity industry – addressing crucial issues such as energy efficiency, global warming, and energy sustainability. EPRI seeks students who are problem solvers and leaders to join with us in keeping electricity affordable and reliable, while reducing the environment impacts of electricity generation, delivery and use. With EPRI, you can have the opportunity to learn from – and be mentored by – industry and technology leaders.
Real Work Experience
EPRI's research and development position is unique, covering the broad arena between basic R&D and the commercial deployment of technology. EPRI's collaborative approach takes our work from the laboratory to the power plant. As a student working with EPRI, you can:
- Help provide “real world” solutions.
- Participate in conducting studies, preparing reports and recording progress.
- Learn and apply principles, concepts and practices of R&D, business, accounting, marketing, legal or other fields of study.
